Today we revisit one of our favourite projects to refit "mary's living & giving shop", a charity shop made over by TV's Mary Portas for Save the Children. We were asked by the very creative Interior Designer Kate Monkton to source chic, eclectic items to add interest and character to the retail space but on an extremely tight budget! So off we went to scour Kempton Antiques Market for vintage light fittings and objets. And what we couldn't afford to buy we created ourselves, painting, sanding and distressing old furniture to give it a designer edge. The result was a cool, quirky inviting space that anyone would welcome on their own high street.
